Johnny Boychuk was an absolute warrior Saturday afternoon against the Hurricanes.
Midway through the third period, the Boston Bruins defenseman went crashing into the boards and needed to be helped off the ice as he favored his right leg. It was widely assumed his day was over, but on the very next shift, Boychuk hopped back onto the ice. Unfortunately it just wasn’t his day, though, as he was drilled with a shot to that same leg.
Again, it was assumed his day was over, and again Boychuk proved everyone wrong because shortly after that, he was back on the ice.
Check out Boychuk’s repeated displays of toughness in the video above.
