dtown grandWhat happens in Vegas stays in Vegas — unless your name is Mark Johnston and you lost half a million dollars gambling during Super Bowl weekend.

Johnston is suing Las Vegas’ Downtown Grand casino for allowing him to gamble after he had too much to drink, according to a report by Sergio Avila of KSNV in Las Vegas.

“I feel like they picked my pockets,” Johnston told Avila. “I feel like they took a drunk guy — like a drunk guy walking down the street — and you reach in his pockets and grab all his money.”

Gambling regulations say a casino can be punished for allowing a clearly inebriated person to gamble, and Johnston said the Gaming Control Board is investigating the case.

Whether he was “cheated” out of $500,000 has yet to be determined, but if Johnston made any bets on the Denver Broncos during his drunken night, he probably wishes he couldn’t remember them.
