New York Mets second baseman Daniel Murphy made one of spring training’s most surprising plays during Sunday’s game against the Washington Nationals in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper appeared to have secured an infield single when he bunted a slow grounder toward Murphy in the sixth inning, but the second baseman shocked everyone by throwing the ball through his own legs quickly enough to get the slugger out at first base.
