NASCAR legend Michael Waltrip had plenty of success behind the wheel, but his time as a FOX Sports broadcaster hasn’t always been as smooth.
Waltrip, while doing some prep work Sunday at the Auto Club 400, thought he saw famous singer Donna Summers and hustled over to see her, even singing one of her more popular songs as he approached.
The only problem, of course, is that Summers died two years ago.
Waltrip didn’t appear to recognize his mistake at first, but maybe next time he’ll think before offering praise to confused strangers.
