Los Angeles Angels phenom Mike Trout is celebrating his recent six-year, $144.5 million contract extension in a big way.

In a Saturday night outing, Trout ordered a massive 36-ounce steak, proving that his appetite is as enormous as his athletic skill.

The 22-year-old outfielder must have been hungry after finishing spring training with a .414 batting average, 17 RBI, and six home runs, including one against the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Dan Haren on Saturday.

Trout hopes to help push the Angels to the playoffs for the first time since 2009.

“We’re just gonna take it one game at a time,” Trout said, via The Washington Times. “It started (this year) with spring. We got off to a good start. Just keep it going.”
