March 13, 8:45 a.m.: Can Day 3 possibly bring more than the first two rounds of NFL free agency?

11:34 p.m.: The New York Jets have announced a deal with former Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker, Adam Schefter reports.
The Jets hosted Decker on a free-agent visit on Wednesday.
Ian Rapoport shared the terms, reporting it’s a five-year, $36.25 million deal with $15 million guaranteed.
10:35 p.m.: Well, that didn’t take long. After Saffold’s deal fell through with the Raiders, it appears he is heading back to the Rams, signing a five-year deal with his old team, according to Ian Rapoport.
10:15 p.m.: After agreeing to a five-year, $42.5 million deal with the Raiders that includes $21 million guaranteed, former Rams offensive lineman Rodger Saffold has failed his physical and won’t be joining the team, Oakland Tribune’s Jerry McDonald reports.
9:56 p.m.: The Arizona Cardinals have signed former Steelers running back Jonathan Dwyer to a one-year deal and offensive lineman Ted Larsen to a two-year deal, the team announced.
Arizona also announced that Marcus Benard, a linebacker who played in 12 games for the Cardinals last year, has re-signed on a one-year contract.
9:30: p.m.: Well, the New York Jets didn’t win the Revis sweepstakes, but they aren’t going home empty-handed today. The Jets signed former Seattle Seahawks right tackle Breno Giacomini, the team announced on the heels of the Patriots’ reported signing of Revis.
Timing isn’t their strong suit.
8:28 p.m.: Aqib Talib’s replacement has been found and his name is Darrelle Revis.
Revis and the Patriots have agreed to a one-year, $12 million deal, Adam Schefter reports. The cornerback was released by the Buccaneers on Wednesday after they failed to find a trade partner.
8:10 p.m.: The Titans have reached a deal with former Steelers nose tackle/defensive end Al Woods, Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean reports.
Woods was reportedly scheduled to visit Arizona and Green Bay, but it appears the Titans have closed the deal.
7:35 p.m.: Darrelle Revis back to the Jets?
The New York Daily News is reporting that the Jets and Revis’ camp have been in talks about a possible reunion, just one year after the All-Pro was sent to Tampa.
7:22 p.m.: OLB Matt Shaughnessey is re-signing with the Arizona Cardinals, Kent Somers is reporting.
The Patriots reportedly hosted the 27-year-old pass rusher for a free-agent visit on Wednesday.
7:00 p.m.: The free agency madness has died down, so of course the Bills are jumping in now. Buffalo blamed their lack of activity on a blizzard that slammed New York on Tuesday, but the team announced today they have agreed to terms with free agent linebacker Keith Rivers.
In 16 games with the Giants last season, Rivers produced 42 tackles and one sack.
5:55 p.m.: Former Seahawks defensive end Chris Clemons is slated to meet with the Jaguars, according to Ian Rapoport. Clemons was released by Seattle on Wednesday.
5:50 p.m.: The Buffalo Bills signed cornerback Corey Graham to a four-year, $16 million deal, Adam Caplan reports.
5:25 p.m.: Former Texans linebacker Joe Mays has agreed to a two-year deal worth $6 million with the Kansas City Chiefs, CSN Houston reports, citing a source.
Mays played in 14 games with Houston last season and recorded 67 tackles.
5:19 p.m.: Although the Dallas Cowboys were rumored to have interest in free-agent defensive tackle Tony McDaniel, he will be staying with the Seattle Seahawks, per Adam Schefter. The eight-year veteran totaled 56 tackles with Seattle last season.
5:15 p.m.: After losing Golden Tate to the Detroit Lions, the Seahawks are signing free-agent wide receiver, Taylor Price, Ian Rapoport is reporting.
Price was drafted in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots, and he last appeared in a game in 2011 while with the Jaguars.
5:08 p.m.: Josh McCown will reportedly be the starter in Tampa Bay this season, head coach Lovie Smith tells Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times.
The Bucs signed McCown only a couple of hours ago to a two-year deal worth $10 million. McCown was expected to compete for the starting job with second-year QB Mike Glennon, but it appears the job is already his. Smith coached McCown in 2011 and 2012, when McCown was the Bears’ backup quarterback.
4:50 p.m.: After visiting the Jaguars, Emmanuel Sanders will head south to meet with the Buccaneers, according to Jason La Canfora.
4:31 p.m.: Both Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter are reporting that free-agent receiver Emmanuel Sanders has been having a grand old time at the Jaguars’ facility today.
4:28 p.m.: In addition to cutting ties with Brandon Weeden, the Browns announced they have also released quarterback Jason Campbell.
Brian Hoyer and Alex Tanney are now the only signal callers under contract in Cleveland, but that will almost certainly change by draft night — if not earlier.
4:20 p.m.: The Ravens are interested in receiver Julian Edelman, per Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com. He also reports that the Patriots are still interested in bringing Edelman back.
Jerry McDonald of the Oakland Tribune reports that Matt Schaub is drawing interest from the Raiders.
4:09 p.m.: Ian Rapoport has the details of the Golden Tate-to-Detroit deal, according to a source: five years, $31 million, $13.25 million guaranteed.
And, ESPN’s Josina Anderson has the particulars on Jacoby Jones’ contract with the Giants, also per source: four years, $14 million, $4.5 million guaranteed.
4 p.m.: Darrelle Revis’ release is official. Let the games begin.
3:58 p.m.: The Ravens have signed receiver Jacoby Jones to a new, four-year contract, the team announced. Jones was in New York earlier today to work out for the Giants.
3:51 p.m.: Actually, the Browns have decided to release Brandon Weeden today. The team just officially announced the move.
3:42 p.m.: A source tells NFL Media’s Michael Silver that Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden will be cut Monday.
3:38 p.m.: The Patriots are releasing defensive tackle Isaac Sopoaga, a source told ESPN’s Mike Reiss. If the Pats are indeed in on Darrelle Revis, this would be a way to free up some cap space.
The Lions have signed wideout Golden Tate to a five-year contract, according to the team’s website, and running back Rashad Jennings announced that he has signed with the Giants.
3:33 p.m.: No big shocker here, but FOX Sports’ Mike Garafolo quotes a source saying that the Buccaneers are cutting Darrelle Revis.
Adam Schefter confirmed the report.
3:29 p.m.: The first question to Aqib Talib is no surprise: Have you talked to Wes Welker yet?
He hasn’t, but he said he’s sure they will talk soon.
And about the hit that ended Talib’s season?
“I can promise you, he didn’t do it on purpose,” the cornerback said.
3:26 p.m.: Aqib Talib has arrived at the podium in Denver.
3:12 p.m.: Randy Starks’ two-year deal with Miami is worth a combined $12 million, according to multiple reports.
The Jaguars have signed linebacker Dekota Watson, the team announced. Watson said, via the AP’s Mark Long, that the Patriots were among the teams interested in him.
2:50 p.m.: The Buccaneers have announced their list of officially confirmed free-agent visits, including Patriots linebacker Dane Fletcher.
Rounding out the list are tackle Anthony Collins, center Evan Dietrich-Smith, wide receiver Ted Ginn and cornerback Charles Tillman.
According to Mike Klis of The Denver Post, Wes Welker gave Aqib Talib a “ringing endorsement” before the Broncos signed the free-agent cornerback. A hit by Welker was what knocked Talib out of the AFC Championship Game this season.
2:47 p.m.: The Jets have expressed interest in free-agent wide receiver James Jones, sources told Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.
Also, the Cowboys have signed former Broncos defensive end Jeremy Mincey to a two-year deal, according to USA Today’s Tom Pelissero, and the Saints have officially welcomed Jairus Byrd to New Orleans.

The Cowboys have also announced the release of receiver Miles Austin.
2:38 p.m.: Aqib Talib arrived at the Broncos’ facility a short while ago, and his introductory news conference is scheduled to take place within the next few minutes.

2:31 p.m.: Ian Rapoport has an interesting detail on the DeMarcus Ware deal, which he reports was also offered to fellow defensive end Jared Allen.

2:23 p.m.: Quarterback Josh McCown has agreed to a two-year deal with the Buccaneers, per his agent, where he will either back up or compete with second-year pro Mike Glennon.
Ian Rapoport reports that McCown’s deal will pay him a total of $10 million — $4.75 million this season, $5.25 million in 2015.
Steve Smith has tweeted a farewell of sorts to Carolina, thanking Panthers fans but saying he still has some football left to play.

2 p.m.: The DeMarcus Ware sweepstakes is reportedly over.
Ware has reached an agreement with the Broncos, pending a physical, on a three-year, $30 million contract with $20 million guaranteed, according to Adam Schefter. Chris Bullock of CBS 11 in Dallas was the first to report the news.
1:51 p.m.: The Cowboys have signed former Texans defensive tackle Terrell McClain, according to ESPNDallas.com’s Calvin Watkins.
1:47 p.m.: Jon Beason and the Giants have agreed on a new deal, a source told NFL Media’s Aditi Kinkhabwala.
Also, safety Ryan Clark announced on SportsCenter that he is heading to Washington to work out for the Redskins.
1:34 p.m.: The Giants are involved in “heated discussions” with linebacker Jon Beason, a source told Adam Schefter.
Kimberly Jones of NFL Media reports that the two sides are “close” to a deal.
1:33 p.m.: Linebacker Jaspar Brinkley has signed a deal to return to the Vikings, the team announced. Brinkley played last season with the Cardinals after beginning his career in Minnesota.
The Bears announced the signing of former Packers safety M.D. Jennings to a one-year contract. Jennings recorded a career-high 74 tackles in 16 games last season.
1:28 p.m.: Tight end Owen Daniels, who was released by the Texans on Tuesday, is in Green Bay to visit with the Packers, an NFL source told Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Daniels played his college ball at Wisconsin.
1:21 p.m.: The rumor mill is starting to churn a little faster.
The Patriots have shown interest in former Eagles receiver Jason Avant, a source told NESN.com’s Doug Kyed. The team has reportedly not yet scheduled a meeting with Avant.
NFL Media’s Albert Breer reports that DeMarcus Ware has landed in Denver and quotes a source saying the Broncos are “the front-runners for sure” to land the free-agent defensive end.
Steve Smith’s agent, Derrick Fox, told The Associated Press that the free-agent wide receiver will not be returning to the Panthers.
“[Smith] is not going to play for the Panthers next year, I know that,” Fox said. “I just don’t know when that transaction is going to take place.”
The Redskins have signed offensive lineman Bruce Campbell, who hasn’t played since 2012, to a one-year, $645,000 deal, according to ESPN’s John Keim.
1:03 p.m.: The Broncos are showing “huge interest” in wide receiver Brandon LaFell, whom the Patriots brought in for a workout today and are reportedly willing to sign, according to Ian Rapoport.
12:57 p.m.: The Patriots have officially announced the re-signing of tight end Michael Hoomanawanui. The team did not announce the terms of the contract, by Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday that it is a two-year deal.
12:38 p.m.: It’s a Giants party in Oakland today, with Justin Tuck, Terrell Thomas and Andre Brown all visiting the Raiders, according to multiple reports.
12:22 p.m.: The Seahawks have released defensive end Chris Clemons, a source told NFL Media’s Albert Breer.
Clemons is the second member of the Seahawks’ dominating defense to be released this offseason, as D-end Red Bryant was also cut last month.
12:16 p.m.: Jared Allen is receiving interest in free agency (from the Seahawks and Bears, specifically), but he apparently is not dead-set on finding a new NFL gig.
Ian Rapoport says he’s heard the former Vikings defensive end will only sign what he believes to be a fair-value deal and would “be at peace living his life without football if he doesn’t get it.”
11:38 a.m.: Running back Ben Tate, who has primarily been Arian Foster’s backup for the past few seasons, is visiting the Browns today, per Adam Schefter.
Ian Rapoport reports that the Browns are the front-runners to land Tate.
Dion Lewis, Fozzy Whitaker and Edwin Baker are the only running backs currently under contract in Cleveland.
11:31 a.m.: Running back Pierre Thomas has inked a two-year extension to remain with the Saints, according to his agent.
11:21 a.m.: Former Texans linebacker Bryan Braman has signed a two-year, $3.15 million deal with the Eagles, according to Braman’s agent (via Adam Schefter).
11:15 a.m.: Ian Rapoport confirms that the Patriots, who lost Aqib Talib to the Broncos yesterday, are among the teams that have contacted the Buccaneers to express interest in trading for Darrelle Revis.
Rapoport also reports that Revis has no desire to take a pay cut.
11:11 a.m.: The Patriots’ adoration of Rutgers players is well-documented, so it’s no surprise that director of player personnel Nick Caserio is in New Jersey today for the Scarlet Knights’ pro day.
In other news, tackle Branden Albert has officially signed with the Miami Dolphins.
10:47 a.m.: Defensive tackle Randy Starks is finalizing a deal to remain with the Miami Dolphins, a source told Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport also reported earlier that wide receiver Jacoby Jones will visit the Giants today.
10:47 a.m.: The Patriots plan to bring in guard Shelley Smith for a visit Thursday, according to NJ.com’s Jordan Raanan. Smith, who spent the last two seasons with the Rams, is also visiting the Giants today.
10:44 a.m.: The Bills are signing former Rams guard Chris Williams to a four-year, $13.5 million deal with $5.5 million guaranteed, according to Adam Schefter.
10:37 a.m.: The Patriots will be hosting another visitor today: outside linebacker Matt Shaughnessy, per ESPN’s Field Yates.
Shaughnessy, a Conn. native, has played for the Raiders and Cardinals since being drafted in the third round in 2009. He recorded 36 tackles and three sacks for Arizona last season.
10:20 a.m.: NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport is “hearing it’s unlikely” that Darrelle Revis will be traded, per NFL Network. If he’s not, he’s expected to be released today at 4 p.m.
The Steelers announced they have re-signed safety Will Allen and long snapper Greg Warren.
9:47 a.m.: The Bengals plan to match the Browns’ four-year, $12.2 million offer sheet for wide receiver Andrew Hawkins, Adam Schefter reported earlier this morning. The deal includes $5.3 million guaranteed.
9:45 a.m.: Wide receiver Eric Decker is visiting with the Jets, Kimberly Jones of NFL.com reports.
The Lions have set up a meeting with wideout Golden Tate, a source told The Associated Press.
9:40 a.m.: Former Panthers wide receiver Brandon LaFell is visiting the Patriots today, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
LaFell played in all 16 games for Carolina last season, catching a career-high 49 passes for 627 yards and five touchdowns.
As was reported last night, the Patriots are also hosting linebacker Wesley Woodyard today.
A few big defensive names are visiting with the Raiders, as sources told Schefter that Oakland is hosting defensive end Justin Tuck and linebacker Lamarr Woodley. Woodley was released by the Steelers on Tuesday.
9 a.m. ET: NFL teams didn’t waste any time when free agency opened up at 4 p.m. Tuesday, with just about every team doing some combination of cutting or signing as a bevy of players hit the market.
That action is far from over as the second day of free agency dawns. While some marquee free agents have been signed, key players remain at many positions, and even some players who aren’t free agents yet — like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Darrelle Revis — are also in play.
The New England Patriots saw their biggest defensive free agent piece get scooped up by the Denver Broncos as Aqib Talib signed with the AFC champions. They now need to look elsewhere for secondary help, and the Revis speculation isn’t going to stop until they find an answer. (It helps that Revis has said he’d like to play for New England.)
