Brandon Browner’s Agent: No Deal Between Cornerback, Patriots Yet

Brandon BrownerThere are conflicting reports about whether or not the New England Patriots have signed former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner.

NFL Network reported Browner and the Patriots agreed to a two-year contract Thursday, but other outlets — and Browner’s agent — are saying the sides have not yet reached a deal.

Browner’s agent, Peter Schaffer, was not pleased about the early leak.

“It’s 100 percent untrue,” Schaffer told ProFootballTalk. “I’ve got four teams to negotiate with. I’ve got irresponsible journalists who don’t check their facts putting this stuff out there, and my phone is blowing up when I’m trying to play hockey.

“I’ve got very little patience for irresponsible journalists who put this stuff out and ruin my night. My phone is going nuts. I just wanna play hockey.”
