1395099119_miaM.I.A. famously flashed her middle finger to the camera during Madonna’s Super Bowl XLVI halftime show, and the NFL has spent the last two years trying to make her pay for it.

Now the league is going after the 38-year-old rapper even harder.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the NFL has spent almost two years in arbitration against M.I.A., seeking $1.5 million for allegedly breaching the terms of her performance contract, in addition to tarnishing the reputation of the league.

Now, the NFL is seeking an additional $15.1 million in restitution. The number is based on what advertisers would have paid for advertisements during M.I.A.’s two-minute performance, which happened at halftime of the New England Patriots’ Super Bowl loss to the New York Giants in February 2012.

“The claim for restitution lacks any basis in law, fact, or logic,” M.I.A.’s lawyers said in response papers filed Friday.
