The New England Patriots have competition for Kenny Britt’s services.
The free-agent wide receiver has visited the Patriots, Buffalo Bills, St. Louis Rams and Washington Redskins, and now he’s drawing interest from the Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers, ProFootballTalk reported Friday.
Britt caught just 11 passes for 96 yards in 2013, but he once showed promise as a potential No. 1 receiver early in his career with the Tennessee Titans. He was the 30th overall pick out of Rutgers in 2009, and his best season came in 2010, when he had 42 receptions for 775 yards with nine touchdowns.
Britt has had trouble staying out of trouble off the field, though. He has been arrested nine times since the Titans drafted him.
If the Patriots signed Britt, he would compete with second-year pros Josh Boyce and Kenbrell Thompkins for a roster spot. The Patriots already have re-signed Julian Edelman and added free agent Brandon LaFell this offseason.

The Panthers have shown interest in trading for Philadelphia Eagles wideout DeSean Jackson. Carolina is desperate for receivers after losing LaFell and Ted Ginn Jr. in free agency and cutting Steve Smith.
