Former and current NFL players have come out of the woodwork to defend former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson after the Eagles cut Jackson because of his alleged gang ties. Former New England Patriots and Eagles wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth and former NFL running back Derrick Ward each went on a Twitter rant about the situation and ESPN’s coverage, and Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman has also come to Jackson’s defense.

Sherman, who also grew up in Los Angeles, shared a photo of his Little League team on Twitter. The photo featured both future NFL stars as kids. Sherman’s tweet read, “No one should be judged by the actions of others.”

Jackson released a statement denying any involvement in criminal activity, and the LAPD confirmed that Jackson was not part of any investigations, according to USA Today Sports.
