Vancouver Canucks goalie Eddie lack will get the start between the pipes Sunday night when his team takes on the Ottawa Senators in the 2014 Heritage Classic, and the Canucks’ primary starting goalie — Roberto Luongo — is none to pleased that he won’t be playing in the outdoor game.

Jason Botchford of the Vancouver Province reported on Luongo’s thoughts before the game.

Luongo and the Canucks have had a turbulent relationship over the last year, and after losing out on the starting job for Team Canada in the Winter Olympics, and now missing out on another high-profile start, Lu sounds a little salty. He had reportedly expressed interest in playing in the Heritage Classic all year to reporters, but it seems he didn’t get his way.

The 34-year-old netminder has posted a 19-16-6 record, .917 save percentage and 2.38 goals-against average this season.
