Milwaukee Brewers fans apparently have forgiven Ryan Braun.
The once-disgraced slugger played Monday in his first game since being suspended 65 games last year for his connection with the Biogenesis performance-enhancing drug scandal. Braun was widely vilified in baseball circles during the offseason, but Brewers fans welcomed him back with a standing ovation as he stepped to the plate for his first at-bat.
Some pundits on Twitter were not too pleased with the reception.

Braun followed the ovation by popping out to left field against Atlanta Braves starter Julio Teheran.
