San Francisco 49ers’ Chris Culliver Arrested After Hit-And-Run Incident

BiJJiBTCMAA2efDChris Culliver is facing felony charges after fleeing a hit-and-run in San Jose, Calif.

Television station KTVU-TV reports that the San Francisco 49ers cornerback hit a bicyclist with his white mustang Friday morning and then drove away from the scene. The bicyclist sustained minor injuries.

Police officers then tracked down Culliver with the help of a witness and arrested him on charges of hit-and-run, possession of brass knuckles, reckless driving and driving with a suspended license.

Culliver missed the 2013 season with a torn ACL and is expected to start for the 49ers this year as a defensive back. The 49ers issued a statement about Culliver’s arrest, saying, “The 49ers organization is aware of the recent matter involving Chris Culliver. We will remain in contact with Chris and the local authorities as we continue to gather the facts regarding this situation.”
