The Detroit Tigers might not have any fans at their season opener Monday afternoon, thanks to a downright frightening imitation of pitcher Max Scherzer that now resides outside the Comerica Park pro shop.

The defending American League Cy Young Award winner is depicted in the form of a giant bobblehead outside the Tigers’ home ballpark. The creators deserve credit for nailing the detail of Scherzer’s different colored eyes, but the deranged smile they gave the pitcher makes the finished product just a bit too creepy for our taste.
