Conrad Shindler is a man of his word.
After watching Tyler Seguin score his second goal of the game Thursday night, Shindler, a Dallas Stars fan who was in attendance at the American Airlines Center, promised via Twitter to toss his cowboy hat (this is Texas, after all) onto the ice if Seguin lit the lamp a third time.
The Stars standout obliged, completing his third hat trick of the season in a 6-1 demolition of the Vancouver Canucks, and away Shindler’s hat went.
Shindler likely expected never to see his hat again, but — after a linesman had a bit of fun with it — the Stars’ stadium staff located the elated fan and returned it to him.
