Will Middlebrooks had a nice afternoon Saturday.
Middlebrooks not only jacked his first home run of spring training as part of a 2-for-3 effort at the plate, but the Boston Red Sox third baseman also made a nifty diving stop in the third inning of the club’s spring training game against the Baltimore Orioles.
Middlebrooks’ diving play nearly led to a double play. But although it didn’t end with a twin killing, it’s still worthy of Web Gem consideration. See for yourself below.
