Astros Prospect Takes Fastball To Face, Swells Up Like Balloon (Photo)

Houston Astros prospect Delino DeShields Jr. suffered a serious blow to the face on Friday.

The center fielder for the Double-A Corpus Christi team was hit by a fastball on the right side of his face during anĀ evening game in Frisco, Texas, MLB.com reported. Although DeShields was able to walk off the field on his own, he was still taken to the hospital to be treated.

A friend later tweeted out aĀ picture of theĀ seventh-ranked Astros prospect.

That is one serious swell.
