The Colorado Avalanche hold a two-game lead over the Minnesota Wild in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs thanks to some top-notch scoring ability. The Avalanche’s offense was on full display Saturday night in the team’s 4-2 win, and an 18-year old rookie played a big part.

Nathan MacKinnon, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, pulled a solid fake on Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon, causing Spurgeon to take a seat. To top it off, McKinnon scored on the subsequent shot he fired past Ilya Bryzgalov.
