Bridgeport Cancels AHL Game Because Of Damage From Foam Rave The Night Before

The AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers learned the hard way that foam parties and ice don’t mix.

Bridgeport was forced to cancel its game Saturday night against the Adirondack Phantoms due to poor ice conditions. What caused these poor ice conditions, you ask? Only the world’s largest foam party — according to their Facebook page — that was held at the Webster Bank Arena on Friday night.

It turns out the Foam ‘N Glow rave, which “Fuses High-Energy Music, Ultraviolet Dancers, Fire Performers, CO2 Shows & FOAM Into One Mind Blowing Combination” isn’t an ideal event to host on the eve of a game.

Well, at least the Sound Tigers learned a valuable lesson — hockey first, rave second.
