canadiensThe Montreal Canadiens were the first team in the Stanley Cup playoffs to win a series with their four-game sweep of the Tampa Bay Lightning.

That series victory seems to have presented the team with a problem many other organizations would love to have — too much free time between playoff games.

The Canadiens finished off the Lightning on April 22, so in order to keep any rust from setting into their skates before the next series against the Boston Bruins, Montreal held a simulated game day Monday, even including a morning skate at their practice facility.

The Habs’ opponents for the mock game were mostly call-ups from the AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs, according to The Canadian Press.

The game was closed to the public and the media. The schedule for the Canadiens-Bruins second-round series has not yet been released.
