Nike Soccer has outdone itself this time.
The sports apparel giant released its latest soccer commercial last week — just in time for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar merely headline the new spot, which features a dizzying array of stars from the soccer world and beyond.
The commercial starts in a nondescript park in Great Britain where a group of young men prepare to play a pickup game in which the winning team stays on the field. One player decides that he will be Ronaldo, an opponent decides to play like Neymar, and the epic ad takes off from there.
The four-and-a-half-minute long commercial includes Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eden Hazard, Wayne Rooney, Tim Howard, Andres Iniesta, Kobe Bryant, Anderson Silva. The list goes on and on.
The ad is part of Nike Soccer’s “Risk Everything” campaign, which is generating plenty of publicity in this World Cup year.
