It only took until the third game of the season for the North Siders to pull a total Cubs move.
During Thursday’s series finale against the Pittsburgh Pirates, starting left fielder Junior Lake took the field at PNC Park wearing the wrong uniform top. Lake sported the Cubs’ regular road grey jersey with “CHICAGO” across the chest while his teammates had the new, alternate road jerseys that have “CUBS” on the front.
Is this the most Cubs thing of all time? http://t.co/KFUi1jlsUP—

It didn’t take too long for Lake to realize his wardrobe mistake as he changed between the first and second innings to match the rest of the Cubbies.
To be fair, Lake might have felt a little out of it this morning since the Cubs were coming off a 16-inning game that took nearly six hours to complete the previous night. But it makes far more sense to just chalk up the mistake to the Cubs being the Cubs.
