Remember that 400-pound Wrigley Field cake that the Chicago Cubs had made for the historic ballpark’s 100th birthday?

Well, here it is as of Thursday morning:

Wrigley Field cake dumpster

After the game at Wrigley against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday, the cake was taken to a Cubs charity fundraiser at the Field Museum. That’s where the dumpster comes in.

Deadspin found photos on Reddit from the Field Museum employee who was tasked with disposing of the cake. Apparently, much of the cake was made of inedible decorations, and the parts that weren’t were covered in hard fondant.

The Cubs have since said that they are “disappointed” in the way that the cake was disposed.
