Johnny ManzielJohnny Manziel is one of the most polarizing prospects in the 2014 NFL draft, and he might become even more controversial after Hall of Fame cornerback and NFL Network analyst Deion Sanders added his two cents about the Texas A&M product.

During an interview with Roland Martin on the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” Sanders was asked about the hype surrounding the Heisman Trophy winner.

“I love Johnny Football,” Sanders said. “See, the reason people won’t accept Johnny Football is because Johnny Football has ghetto tendencies. I love Johnny Football.”

According to the full transcript, which can be found on Martin’s website, Sanders was asked to clarify what he meant by “ghetto tendencies.”

“Because he was successful, he made it, and he let you all know he made it, and he was cocky, he was flamboyant, and he let you know,” Sanders said.

Martin then took the opportunity to compare Johnny Football to a “a white Prime Time coming out of college,” much to Sanders’ pleasure.

“Thank you,” Sanders said while laughing. “And I love him. I love him.”

The Manziel portion of the interview concluded after Sanders was asked if he believes the Houston Texans should keep Manziel in Texas and draft him with their No. 1 overall pick.

“Man, they better,” Sanders said, “because he gonna fill the stadium.”
