When a fan runs onto the field at a baseball game, it’s usually just a matter of time before he or she gets tackled by security and taken off the field.

Apparently this guy didn’t get that memo.

A rambunctious Los Angeles Dodgers fan was able to avoid takedown on Thursday night after he hopped over the left field fence between innings at Dodger Stadium.

After running along the warning track for about a hundred feet, the fan decided to climb back over the wall toward safety and reached his goal before a wave of security officers were able to reach him. Check out the video below, with a hat tip to Deadspin.

His 30 seconds of freedom probably didn’t last much longer, however, as a security guard in the stands is seen closing in on the fan shortly after he makes it to perceived safety.

On the bright side, the fan was spared a rough ending, as the Dodgers surrendered four runs in the ninth inning to the Philadelphia Philles to take a 7-3 loss.
