Boston Bruins defenseman Dougie Hamilton has turned his game up a notch during the Stanley Cup playoffs.
The 20-year-old blueliner added yet another highlight to his ever-growing reel during Saturday’s series-clinching win against the Detroit Red Wings, dancing through the Detroit defense before connecting with Loui Eriksson for the B’s first goal of the game. After the game, Hamilton told NESN’s Jack Edwards that their goal was to get the first goal to “deflate” their opponents.
It worked like a charm as the B’s advanced to the next round against the Montreal Canadiens with a 4-2 win over Detroit.
