Dustin PedroiaThe star power will be lacking in the Red Sox-Yankees series finale Sunday night on ESPN, as Boston will be without Dustin Pedroia and New York will take the field without Derek Jeter.

Pedroia was scratched from tonight’s lineup due to a sore left wrist he suffered during a slide in the Milwaukee series, Sean McAdam of CSNNE reports. Meanwhile, Jeter will sit for his second consecutive game. The Yankees shortstop had a scheduled day off Saturday, but was experiencing some quad tightness so he’ll receive another day to rest. Manager Joe Girardi told reporters before the game he would be available “in emergency” situations tonight.

Utility infielder Jonathan Herrera will slide over to second base in Pedey’s absence and bat ninth, while Grady Sizemore will once again move into the leadoff spot and man left field. Xander Bogaerts will also move up a few places in the lineup and bat second.
