The Teddy Bear Toss has become commonplace in the minor league hockey circuit, so the originators of the toss — the ECHL’s Bakersfield Condors — have taken things to a new level.

During Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Wranglers, Condors fans littered the ice with close to 6,000 pieces of clothing on “Undie Sunday.” The event “brought a rain of underwear, socks, bras, diapers and socks down onto the ice,” according to the team’s website.

The event produced 1,096 pairs of socks, 2,773 pair of underwear, 1,747 diapers and 55 bras and other clothing items that will be donated to the Mission at Kern County and the Kern County Network for Children.

Joel Broda scored with 1:02 left in the game to spark the tossing.
