Even the most casual Boston Red Sox fans know their beloved Fenway Park is one of the most unique stadiums in baseball.
Now they can see just how unique it really is.
An informative and pretty awesome infographic created by the Thirty81 Project’s Lou Spirito maps all 30 major league stadiums onto one image to show how much the dimensions vary from park to park.
As baseball fans know, Fenway Park has several anomalies. Not only does it have the shallowest outfield in baseball — thanks to the 37-foot high, 231-foot long Green Monster that stands just 310 feet from home plate in left field — it also has both the tallest and shortest outfield walls in the league, as a portion of the right field wall stands just 3 feet tall.
The friendly Fenway confines also have the shortest distance to center field at 390 feet, while the Houston Astros’ Minute Maid Park boasts the deepest center field at 436 feet.
Other highlights from the infographic, which includes the dimensions and outfield wall heights of every major league stadiums, include the Oakland A’s O.co Coliseum, which has the most playable foul territory; the Chicago Cubs’ Wrigley Field, which has the deepest left field and right field lines in the league; and the New York Yankees’ Yankee Stadium, which has the shortest right field wall in the bigs.
