1398898960_caliCalifornia Chrome, the early 5-2 favorite, drew the No. 5 post as the field for the 140th Kentucky Derby was revealed Wednesday.

The Santa Anita Derby and San Felipe Stakes winner is trained by 77-year-old Art Sherman, who could become the oldest trainer to win the Kentucky Derby. Eight horses have won from the No. 5 post, most recently Funny Cide in 2013.

Hopportunity, the second choice in the 20-horse field, drew the No. 11 post, and Wicked Strong, the horse named for last year’s Boston Marathon bombing victims, was named the 8-1 third choice after drawing the No. 20 post.
