Nick Bonino scored early in overtime Sunday night, capping a furious comeback as the Anaheim Ducks advanced to the Stanley Cup playoffs’ second round with a wild 5-4 win over the Dallas Stars.

With the Stars holding a two-goal lead late in the third period, the series looked destined for a Game 7. But Bonino, a former Boston University standout, started the Anaheim rally by scoring with just two minutes left in regulation. In the final minute, and with Ducks goalie Jonas Hiller pulled once again, Devante Smith-Pelly forced overtime when he poked the puck past Kari Lehtonen during a scramble in front of the net.

In overtime, Bonino finished what he started, scoring 2:47 into the extra frame to win the game and the series.
