David Lough did his best imitation of his team’s mascot on Sunday.

In the eighth inning of the Baltimore Orioles’ contest against the Kansas City Royals, the outfielder literally took flight to make a ridiculous diving catch and rob batter Jarrod Dyson of an extra-base hit.

Sprinting back toward the left-field wall, Lough leaped off his feet and snagged the ball out of the air before tumbling to the turf several feet from where he took off.

The catch was likely extra sweet for Lough, who got his break in the big leagues with the Royals when he made his MLB debut with Kansas City in 2012. Lough joined the Orioles at the end of the 2013 season and has made 14 starts in the outfield for Baltimore this season.

As for the game, the Royals brought Lough down to earth by scoring four runs in the seventh inning en route to a 9-3 win at Camden Yards.
