Patriots’ Alfonzo Dennard Released From Jail After Serving 35 Days

New England Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard was released from a Nebraska jail Friday at 1 p.m. after serving 35 days, Boston.com reported.

Dennard previously was handed a 60-day sentence for violating probation tied to his 2012 conviction for felony assault on a police officer. Friday was the first day Dennard was eligible for release from jail.

The defensive back is entering the third year of a four-year, $2 million contract with the Patriots.
