Pavel Datsyuk’s Late Third-Period Goal Powers Red Wings Past Bruins (Video)

The Boston Bruins fell to the Detroit Red Wings 1-0 in Game 1 of their first-round series at TD Garden on Friday night.

Pavel Datsyuk scored the lone goal with 3:01 remaining in the third period to give the Red Wings the early series lead, but as NESN’s Jack Edwards said after the game, “this is why they play a best-of-seven series.” Detroit was on the receiving end of some puck luck Friday night, but the Bruins will look to even the score in Game 2 on Sunday afternoon in what is primed to be just as exciting, nerve-wracking, and intense.

Check out the video above to hear more from Jack and Brick after the game.
