Melanie Carter, the wife of Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver and ESPN analyst Cris Carter, was involved in a fight with another woman at a Boca Raton, Fla., country club while playing tennis Monday, per a police report.

Adam Sacasa of the South Florida Sun Sentinel wrote that Carter’s wife “told police she and other women were playing a doubles tennis match in the Seasons of Boca Raton community when one of the women on the opposing team asked for a line judge to clear up a disputed call at about 11:30 a.m. When Carter didn’t agree with the judge’s call to play the point again, the two moved toward each other and started arguing, according to the report.”

Melanie Carter also alleged that Kimberly Ann Fox, the other woman involved in the altercation, head-butted her. Fox says that claim is false.

Neither woman was arrested nor suffered any significant injuries, police told the Sun Sentinel.
