Raheem Sterling put Liverpool ahead of Norwich City in the blink of an eye on Sunday.

The Liverpool forward scored with a laser-like strike in the fourth minute of the Reds’ 3-2 victory over the Canaries.

Sterling received a pass from Luis Suarez, took four touches and shot from around 25 yards out. His powerful drive went straight into the top left corner past diving goalkeeper John Ruddy.

The goal merely started Sterling’s signature day. Seven minutes after scoring, Sterling set up Luis Suarez for Liverpool’s second goal.

Sterling struck again in the 62nd minute. After making a surging dribble toward Norwich City’s penalty area, Sterling took a shot which deflected off defender Bradley Johnson, sailing fortunately over Ruddy into the goal.

Sterling now has nine goals and six assists in the Premier League this season. The 19-year-old is playing a standout role in Liverpool’s pursuit of the Premier League title, making it increasingly likely that he’ll earn a spot on England’s squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
