Jared seemingly was in the right place at the right time to catch a foul ball behind home plate on Patriots’ Day at Fenway Park, but for a whole host of reasons, he couldn’t pull it in. The Red Sox fan watched the ball into his hands, then watched as it caromed off his body and down onto the safety net behind the plate.
NESN’s Gary Striewski caught up with Jared during the seventh inning of Monday’s game to ask how it all went down.
Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy even had some fun at Jared’s expense.
