Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia was scratched just a couple of hours before Sunday night’s game against the New York Yankees because of soreness in his left wrist.
Pedroia suffered the injury during the Milwaukee series at Fenway Park and it has been sore since then, Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reports. Pedroia will fly back to Boston for tests on his wrist.

In other injury news, closer Koji Uehara, who has been sidelined due to shoulder stiffness, will undergo a medical workout in Boston on Monday to ensure there is nothing more serious going on. Uehara threw on the side Sunday and according to Cafardo, manager John Farrell expects him to rejoin the team Tuesday in Chicago.
Shane Victorino is also on the mend and the outfielder will get a checkup on Monday, and if all goes well, he will begin his rehab assignment with Portland on Tuesday.
