If you were one of the countless fans who bought a No. 10 Washington Redskins jersey in the last few years, you might be making some modifications.

Newly signed Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson expressed interest Wednesday in keeping the No. 10 jersey he has worn since entering the NFL in 2008.

The same number, of course, that’s currently worn by Redskins franchise quarterback Robert Griffin III.

“I definitely am familiar with the No. 10 on Robert Griffin,” Jackson told reporters, via USA Today. “But, you know, we’ve talked about it a little bit, but there hasn’t been a decision that’s been made yet so far. … But maybe RG3 will wear No. 3 and I’ll try to get in 10. We’ll see how it goes though. Never know.”

The switch would cause a headache for many football fans, as RGIII’s No. 10 jersey broke the NFL record for most jerseys sold during the 2012-2013 fiscal year.

If any Redskin could pull off the switch, though, it’s Jackson. The highly touted former Philadelphia Eagle signed a three-year, $24 million contract that includes a total of $16 million guaranteed over the first two seasons, a source told ProFootballTalk.

He might need to send some of that money RGIII’s way if he’s serious about taking the quarterback’s number.
