Zach MettenbergerThe New England Patriots aren’t finished checking out the 2014 NFL draft quarterback class.

The Patriots are scheduled to meet with former LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger on Tuesday, NFL Media’s Albert Breer reported. Mettenberger’s LSU pro day is Wednesday.

Mettenberger tore his ACL in November, but he will participate in all quarterback drills at his pro day, ESPN’s Adam Caplan reported Sunday. Mettenberger met with the Oakland Raiders on Tuesday and is scheduled to meet with the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday, the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday and the Detroit Lions on Saturday, Breer reported.

The 6-foot-5, 224 pound signal-caller threw for 3,082 yards and 22 touchdowns with eight interceptions in 2013 as a junior with the Tigers. He’s known to have one of the strongest arms in the draft.

The Patriots hosted quarterback prospects Johnny Manziel and Teddy Bridgewater on pre-draft visits last Wednesday. Patriots backup quarterback Ryan Mallett is entering a contract year.
