Texas Tech Coach Kliff Kingsbury Admits Recruits’ Single Moms Flirt With Him

KingsburyTexas Tech head football coach Kliff Kingsbury is a pretty good recruiter.

As a former quarterback who enjoyed a lot success at Texas Tech, Kingsbury’s experience and knowledge of the game gives him a lot of credibility with recruits.

It also helps that he’s a pretty good-looking guy who’s often compared to famous actor Ryan Gosling. Like any smart man would, the 34-year-old coach uses this to his advantage.

Kingsbury recently admitted that some single mothers of recruits have flirted with him during recruiting visits.

“Yeah, yeah that’s kind of … you’ve got to play to your strengths,” Kingsbury said Tuesday during a radio appearance on the Dan LeBatard Show. “So I kind of encourage that a little bit. It’s part of the deal, man. So, yeah.”

With Texas starting a new era after the hiring of head coach Charlie Strong and Texas A&M entering a period of transition following the departure of former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Johnny Manziel, we might see Kingsbury elevate the Red Raiders to the top of the pack in the Lone Star State, especially if he continues to recruit well.
