The American League East is considered one of the toughest divisions in baseball. Every year, at least one team in the division is picked to make a run at the Commissioner’s Trophy, but 2014 could be the best the AL East has ever been, according to NESN’s Tom Caron.

Caron appeared on WBSM-AM in New Bedford, Mass., on Wednesday and predicted that, once again, the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays will be in a dogfight this summer. Caron also pointed out, however, that the Baltimore Orioles and Toronto Blue Jays aren’t to be taken lightly.
