Warrior HoganThe Ultimate Warrior’s sudden passing sent shock waves through the WWE universe on Tuesday night.

The Warrior died just one night after appearing on “Monday Night Raw.” The WWE superstarĀ collapsed outside of an Arizona hotel before being transferred to a hospital, officials told TMZ.

The Warrior was one of the WWE’s biggest icons during the company’s 1980s and 90s heyday. He debuted in 1987, left the company in 1992 and returned in 1996.

The Warrior was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on Saturday, appeared at WrestleMania 30 on Sunday and made his last television appearance on “Monday Night Raw” a night before he died. He wasn’t the most technical wrestler, but his high energy captivated WWE fans.

The Warrior, real name James Hellwig before he legally changed it to “Warrior” in 1993, held the WWE Championship once, and he was a two-time Intercontinental Champion.
