Vince YoungVince Young is giving the NFL another shot.

Young took a physical with the Cleveland Browns on Monday, and the No. 3 overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft will participate in voluntary minicamp with the team this week for a tryout, NFL sources told MyFoxHouston.com’s Mark Berman. Browns general manager Ray Farmar confirmed the report in a news conference on Monday.

Farmar also said the team would bring in former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Tyler Thigpen for a tryout.

Young began his career with the Tennessee Titans before signing with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011. He spent time with the Buffalo Bills in 2012 and Green Bay Packers in 2013.

The Browns have just Brian Hoyer and Alex Tanney on their roster at quarterback. They are expected to draft a quarterback early in the 2014 NFL draft.
