Jacoby Ellsbury isn’t exactly a normal name, but the New York Yankees made it even more unique during Monday’s home opener against the Baltimore Orioles.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Ellsbury’s name appeared on the outfield scoreboard as he came up to bat. The only problem? Ellsbury’s name was misspelled, and on a screen that big, it probably was very hard to miss.

The “Ellsubry” blunder drew attention away from what had been a successful home debut for the Yankees outfielder, who went 2-for-3 with two singles and an RBI up to that point.

Perhaps the misspelling distracted Ellsbury, as he failed to reach base in the sixth and finished the day going 2-for-4 at the plate. His efforts proved to be more than enough, however, as the Yankees defeated the Orioles 4-2.
