2004 Boston Red Sox: Where Are They Now, 10 Years After World Series Win (Photos)

Trot NixonThe Boston Red Sox will honor their 2004 World Series championship team Wednesday night at Fenway Park, but much has changed in 10 years for the guys who broke the 86-year Curse of the Bambino.

David Ortiz is the only member of the famous band of “idiots” still playing in Boston. The majority of the players are retired, some have taken their talents to the broadcasting booth, and perhaps the most shocking news of all is about the most shocking player of them all: Manny Ramirez.

Ramirez recently signed a minor league contract with the Chicago Cubs, joining the organization as a player-coach for their Triple-A team in Iowa.

Johnny Damon, Pedro Martinez, Trot Nixon, Jason Varitek, Tim Wakefield, Derek Lowe, Kevin Millar and Keith Foulke are among those scheduled to attend the festivities at Fenway, so before this special group is honored on the field, catch up with what they’ve been doing since their historic championship run.
