Boston Red Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski had a solid night at the plate Wednesday, but he couldn’t give any of those good vibes to starting pitcher Clay Buchholz while he was behind it.
Buchholz had another poor start against the Toronto Blue Jays at Fenway, lasting only 4 2/3 innings, while giving up four earned runs, striking out just two batters and bringing his ERA up to 6.32.
But Pierzynski did see some good pitches from Buchholz and hopes that he can use this start as a learning experience.
