Andrew ShawThe Chicago Blackhawks lineup will get a boost for Saturday night’s Game 3 against the Los Angeles Kings with the return of third-line forward Andrew Shaw.

Shaw, who’s tallied four points (two goals, two assists) in seven playoff games this spring, has been sidelined for the last seven games because of a lower body injury. His return will force Peter Regin out of the lineup.

Shaw set career highs in points (39), goals (20), assists (19) and plus/minus (plus-20) in 80 regular-season games. He also made a positive impact on the power play with five goals. His physical style of play, bottom-six scoring and willingness to set screens and fight for puck possession in the dirty areas make him an important part of Chicago’s lineup.

This Western Conference final is tied 1-1 after Los Angeles won Game 2 6-2 in Chicago.
