Miami Heat v Indiana Pacers - Game 2Aaron Gordon has yet to play in an NBA game, but he already has mastered parrying questions like a pro.

The Arizona forward was asked which player he is most looking forward to guarding after he is drafted (presumably very early) in the 2014 NBA draft. Deftly, the 18-year-old essentially said every player is really good and that no single person stood out.

Very smart, young Mr. Gordon. Don’t offer any bulletin-board material for your future foes.

Andrew Wiggins wasn’t as savvy. He went big, naming Kevin Durant, LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony.

“As a competitor, everybody wants to play against the best,” Wiggins told USA Today’s Scott Gleeson. “So I look forward to playing against KD, LeBron, Melo, whoever the best is.”

Just like that, Wiggins provided fuel for anybody who wants to shout, “Hey! Wiggins just challenged LeBron!” and start a beef. Wiggins’ stance is admirable — he should want to take on the best, especially if he indeed ends up going No. 1 — but the Internet isn’t always so rational.

Oh, well. Wiggins will learn his lesson, once James teaches him a thing or two on the court.
