If you’re looking for some brotherly competition this season, circle Week 8 on your NFL calendar.

That’s when the New England Patriots square off against the Chicago Bears, who selected Minnesota safety Brock Vereen with the 131st overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft Saturday.

Brock is the younger brother of Patriots running back Shane Vereen, who was New England’s second-round pick out of California in 2011. Shane used Instagram to congratulate his brother, attaching this message to a photo of them hugging: “Brock Vereen is a CHICAGO BEAR!!!! Never been more proud of this man. I love him more than words can explain.. LETS GET TO WORK B!!!.”

Brock played safety all four seasons for the Golden Gophers and was named a first-team All-Big Ten Conference selection in 2013. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Brock has never played against his older brother, but he’ll finally have that chance Oct. 26 when the Patriots welcome the Bears to Gillette Stadium.

The trash-talking already has begun.
